What We Do
OIde Bridge Gallery has been operating for 18 months under the management of three local artisans and showcases a diverse and exciting collection of original paintings, photography and hardwood furniture. This collection is complemented by locally produced handcrafted metal work, pottery, jewellery, chocolates, heritage dolls, cards and gifts, all housed within a magnificent restored 1850’s building.
Photographer Wendy Smith( Dip photography and photo Imaging)
Wendy is award-winning photographer specializing in bird photography. Wendy was born and grew up in theCentral West of NSW and for as long as she can remember she has been inspired by the beautiful nature and wildlife of the area. Wendy strives to capture fleeting moments in nature, taking people into a world where they can see and marvel at detail, color and the simple existence of a wild creature. Wendy particularly enjoys the challenge of photographing birds and feels privileged that she has been able to capture some amazing shots of fleeting moments that illustrate the beauty and mysteries of nature and provide a lasting impression that stimulates, challenges and excites the viewer.
Landscape Artist David Lake
David Lake is a painter of the Australian landscape in oils and in a traditional style. He has been an exhibiting artist for the past 30 years and has been painting on a full time basis since 2002. Over the years he has participated in many group exhibitions and also solo exhibitions including an exhibition at the Bathurst Regional Art gallery in 2010. David is a Fellow of the Royal Art Society of NSW and a participating artist on the Bathurst Arts Trail. His paintings are held in both private and public collections.
Master Timber Craftsman Russell Dawson
Russell is a master craftsman specializing in recycled Australian hardwood timbers and railway sleepers. His bespoke furniture, and accessories such as platters, wine racks , frames, bowls , candle holders and mirrors are all unique handcrafted pieces inspired by the distinctive individual characteristics of each carefully chosen piece of timber. Each individual piece is of exceptional quality, fashioned with love by a master craftsman. Beautiful, memorable, and usable. Those are the goals he brings to every timber creation.
